About

I'm Raunak, and am currently a software engineer at Avantos.

In my short stint as an engineer, I've:

~~Introduced vulnerabilities which could've resulted in more than $200,000,000 in drained funds~~ Successfully led smart contracts & scaled infra backing $3,000,000,000+ (and counting).
~~Yeeted horrendous, awful, tech debt ridden code into production environments~~ Built 0->1 enough times to know where cutting corners moves the needle
~~Annoyed founders by spending way too long being nerdsniped finding the right abstractions~~ Scaled 1->30 on a team who had done it many times before

I'm based out of NYC - if you're in the area, let's grab coffee!

My Formation

Previously:

Led smart contracts & did a ton of infra at Polymer Labs
Smart contracts full time at MIMO
Early Fullstack eng at Cultiveit, a start-up focused on addressing burnout.

I owe a significant part of my technical & personal growth to the incredibly supportive Recurse Center where I worked on some [projects]. If I'm seeling you, you should do a batch. Here's more on the Recurse Center.

In another life, I was a Civil engineering consultant for Kimley Horn where I worked on some smart infrastructure design for Los Angeles. There's crazy parallels between civil and software engineering, so don't ask me about it unless you have some time to kill.

I maintain a very sophisticated vibe here on my blog, so here's a picture of a random error message:
